I am Sonali Sihi, a contemporary Indian artist, traveller, and storyteller based in Mumbai, India and the creator of platform “Paint My Journeys”. Through this platform, I bring together my passion for art, travel, culture, and storytelling. I believe that every place has a unique story to tell, and every journey offers an opportunity to see the world from a new perspective. Paint My Journeys is my way of sharing those experiences through visual art, meaningful travel narratives, and human connections.My journey as an artist is deeply shaped by my academic background in Psychology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Studying human behaviour and emotions sparked a lasting curiosity about people and their stories. This insight continues to influence my creative process, helping me explore not just the beauty of the world, but also the emotions and connections that give each experience its meaning.While painting remains at the heart of my creative life, travel has always been an equally powerful source of inspiration. Every destination introduces new cultures, traditions, landscapes, and people. Through my travels, I discovered that the most memorable experiences often come from simple conversations, local stories, and hidden places that rarely appear in guidebooks.Paint My Journeys was born from this realization. It is a space where travel and creativity meet. Through my videos, writings, and artwork, I share authentic experiences from cities, villages, heritage sites, cultural landmarks, and everyday life. My Artworks
I am a contemporary self-taught artist working primarily with acrylics and mixed media. Through layered textures and impasto techniques, I create abstract works inspired by emotions, memories, nature, and human experiences. My background in psychology influences my intuitive and reflective approach, allowing each painting to evolve organically. For me, art is a way of exploring and preserving moments, feelings, and stories. My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in private and corporate collections.
